The Wrench is your configuration tool. Instead of breaking or placing, the wrench lets you tinker with blocks and objects — opening their settings panel so you can change how they behave.
How to use it
- Select the Wrench from your inventory.
- Use it on a configurable block or object.
- Its settings panel opens, where you can adjust its options.
What you can wrench
- World Lock — manage world ownership, access, and settings.
- Area Locks — set who can build inside a claimed area.
- Signs — edit the text that floats above the block.
- Portals — set and configure the destination.
- Magplant — open its item/overlay panel.
- Mannequins & displays — set what they show.
Wrenching something you own opens the full owner panel; wrenching someone else's object opens a limited public view. The owner check is enforced by the server.
Wrench vs. Fist
When you hold the wrench, the game knows you're in "configure" mode rather than "build/break" mode — so nearby proximity buttons and panels appear for objects you can adjust. Switch back to your fist or another item to return to normal building.
