Area Locks protect a square region inside a world, rather than the whole world like a World Lock. They let several players each own their own plot in a shared world.
How they work
Place an Area Lock and it claims a square of tiles centered on it. You become the owner of that region — only you and the players you grant access to can build and break inside it. Place it inside a world you have access to, and you've carved out your own protected space.
Sizes
- Small — a 3×3 area, for tiny plots and personal builds.
- Medium — a 7×7 area.
- Large — an 11×11 area, for bigger projects.
- Battle — a 21×21 area that also enables battle mode within its bounds.
Rights & access
As the area owner you get full rights inside the locked square and can grant build access to friends. Outside your square, the world's own rules (and its World Lock owner) still apply.
Battle locks
The Battle lock marks its area as a battle zone. It's the largest size and is designed for competitive, combat-flavored spaces rather than quiet building plots.
Upkeep
Area claims decay if completely abandoned for a long time (around 90 days of inactivity), keeping dead plots from locking up worlds forever. Stay active and your claim stays yours.
