Portals are special blocks that teleport players to a destination you set. Use them to link parts of a big build, connect rooms, or send visitors where you want them to go.
Setting up a portal
- Place a portal block in your world.
- Use the Wrench on it to open its configuration.
- Set its destination — where players who step in will be sent.
A portal's link is stored separately from the block itself, so configuring one portal doesn't disturb the others around it.
Using a portal
Step into a configured portal and you'll be carried to its destination. Portals make navigating large worlds — shops, parkour, or multi-area builds — quick and seamless.
Breaking a portal
Breaking a portal block also removes its link. Once it's gone, it can no longer be used as a source or reached as a destination — so a broken portal can't be exploited to send players somewhere unexpected.
Build ideas
- Link a shop entrance straight to your selling floor.
- Connect the top and bottom of a tall tower.
- Build a hub world with portals to each of your areas.
