You can permanently delete your Pixelands account and the data tied to it at any time. There are two ways to do it. Both delete the same things.
This cannot be undone. Deleting your account destroys your inventory, your worlds, your currencies and any items you purchased. We cannot restore an account after deletion, and purchases are not refunded on deletion.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the game
This is immediate and does not require contacting anyone.
-
Sign in to Pixelands
Use the account you want to delete.
-
Open My Account
It is in the main menu.
-
Choose Delete Account
You will be asked to confirm. Read the warning — the next step is final.
-
Confirm
Your account and its data are removed. You are signed out and the account can no longer be used.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
Use this if you cannot sign in, if you no longer have the game installed, or if you would simply rather we did it. You do not need an account on this website and you do not need to log in anywhere.
Fill this in and it will open your email app with the request written for you. Nothing is sent from this page and nothing you type here is transmitted to us until you send that email.
Never send us your password. We will never ask for it, and we do not need it to delete your account.
What gets deleted
When an account is deleted, the following are permanently removed:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Username and password | Deleted |
| Email address | Deleted |
| Inventory and items | Deleted |
| Gems, PixBits and quest tokens | Deleted, without refund |
| Worlds you own, and world locks | Released and deleted |
| Levels, XP, quests, achievements | Deleted |
| Character appearance and cosmetics | Deleted |
| Friends list and guild membership | Removed |
| Fishing records and leaderboard entries | Removed |
| Stored IP address history and device identifiers | Deleted, except as noted below |
What is kept, and why
A small amount of data survives deletion. We would rather tell you than surprise you.
| Data | Why it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Ban records | If the account was banned, we keep the ban reason and the identifiers it applies to. Otherwise deleting an account would be a way to erase a ban and immediately return. | Indefinitely, solely to enforce the ban |
| Purchase and transaction records | Required for tax, accounting, refunds and chargeback disputes. Held in a form that is not linked to your gameplay profile. | As required by law |
| Trades and chat visible to others | Messages other players received, and items you traded to them, belong to those players' accounts and are not removed from them. Your username may remain visible in their trade history. | With the other player's account |
| Blocks you placed in other players' worlds | They are part of that world, not your account, and are not attributed to you after deletion. | With that world |
| Backups | Deletion applies to live systems immediately. Encrypted rolling backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. | Up to 30 days |
How long it takes
- In-game deletion — immediate.
- Emailed request — we aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, which is the maximum period allowed under GDPR and comparable laws.
- Backups — cycle out within 30 days of deletion.
We may need to confirm you control the account before we delete it, so that someone else cannot delete your things. If your request comes from an email address that is not on the account, we will ask you a question only the account holder could answer.
Purchases
Deleting your account does not refund anything. Everything you bought is destroyed along with the account, and all sales are final.
If you have an outstanding purchase problem — something you paid for and never received, or received wrongly — sort that out before you delete, because once the account is gone we cannot look up what it was owed.
Need something else?
If you want a copy of your data rather than deletion, or you want to correct something, see Your rights in the Privacy Policy, or just email us. General help lives on the support page.
