Night Bats are flying mobs that swarm the surface of Pixelands worlds after dark. They're the main reason night is dangerous above ground.
When they appear
Bats come out as part of the day/night cycle. As dusk turns to night and darkness spreads across the surface, bats begin to spawn and hunt. They clear out again when day returns.
Behavior
- They fly, so terrain and walls don't stop them the way they stop ground mobs.
- They're drawn to players out in the open at night.
- They can be hit and defeated like other mobs.
Bats are flyers — don't expect to hide behind a wall. Either fight them off or get somewhere safe and well-lit.
Dealing with them
- Light up your world — well-lit areas keep the darkness (and the worst of the night) at bay.
- Fight back — hit them as they approach to clear a path.
- Go underground — head into the mines or a sealed base until dawn.
