Ancient Tombs are deadly shared dungeon worlds. They're packed with traps, roaming mobs, and a boss — survive the run, light the totems, and you'll be rewarded with a treasure chest.
Entering a tomb
Ancient Tombs are dynamic worlds: instead of one fixed location, tombs load a shared dungeon layout so every run feels like the same dangerous place. Step into a tomb and the clock starts — you'll need skill and a little luck to make it through.
Lives & respawning
You enter a tomb with 3 lives. Dying to a trap, a mob, or a fall costs a life and respawns you — but run out of lives and your tomb attempt ends. Manage your health and don't get greedy near hazards.
Totems & completion
Each tomb contains 4 totems you must step on to complete it. Activating all four marks the tomb as cleared and unlocks the reward. Totems are spread through the dungeon, so you'll have to survive the whole layout to reach them.
Traps
- Spike traps — spikes emerge from a tile and only damage you during the fully-out window, on the facing tile. Watch the rhythm and time your movement.
- Flame traps — bursts of fire on a timed cycle.
- Lava & magma — touching it bounces you back and burns; avoid the pools.
Tomb mobs
Tombs are guarded by distinct enemy types, each with its own behavior:
- Charge walker — rushes you on the ground.
- Tentacle shooter — fires traveling projectiles from range.
- Wraith — a flying menace that ignores terrain.
- Robe caster — a ranged spellcaster.
Tomb Boss
The toughest tombs feature a Tomb Boss — a large enemy that walks, charges, and fires projectiles. It has a dedicated health bar at the top of the screen. Bosses can also be summoned with a Boss Spawner item. Defeating the boss is the ultimate tomb challenge.
Reward chest
Clear the tomb — survive your lives, light all four totems, and beat what stands in your way — and a reward chest opens for you, paying out loot and gems for your run.
